The following is documentation for the Terminal macros found
under the settings directory of JFW.

3270 Terminal Emulation 96/09/10

Version 2.0

These Macros are under going constant upgrading as new JFW Functions become
available.

The files listed in this file should assist you in your 3270 applications.
Designed and written for Attachmate's Extra for Windows, these Macros will
most likley work with other 3270 packages. To make the necessary changes to
a different 3270 package, copy the 3 Macro files listed below to the name of
the "EXE" that your 3270 executes. (Insert+Q while in the 3270 application
will announce the "EXE" file in use.)

Custom Features:

CURSOR LOCATION:
Insert+Delete announces the Cursor Position in your 3270 application.
Positions are announced as follows; PcCursor by Column and row, when in the
main 3270 window. Pccursor by pixel when in Menus and the like. JawsCursor
by pixel at all times.

NextWord and PriorWord:
Insert+Right Arrow / Insert+Left arrow
These macros are in this set of macros because 3270 Emulation does not support
such a function.

Text Processing Macros:
Both the HighLighted and Text and Text processing macros have been placed in
the "TRMINL.JMS" file to allow for the processing of the status line. This
allows for the USER to have Screen Echo set to all with out having the status
line spoken every time something changes on it. E.G. (THE TIME)

Jaws Hents:
Insert+H
This macro anounces the hot keys that Extra has defined. If any are missing,
please let us know, and we will add them as quickly as we can.

Cut and Paste Macros:
Cut and Paste is handled differently in a Mainframe session. This is because
the Mainframe does not support such a function. To accomplish this, the user
must turn highlighting on, expand the highlighted box, then cut or copy the
highlighted text to the clipboard. To do this, and use JFW, do the following:
Control+Enter to turn on the highlight function, expand the box with the arrow
keys, and then cut or copy to the clipboard. Once you have done a cut or copy
to the clipboard, the highlight box is turned off.

Config File:
A config file has been added to allow the user to customize JFW for the 3270
application.

Extra configuration:
If you find that you are having a problem with JFW tracking the PC Cursor,
then check the way in which you have your cursor defined in Extra. The best
results to date have been found when the Extra Cursor is made to look like an
UnderLine character, and the Blink Rate is set to 100%.
